"she was able to do so for less than $4 by using free trial* offers she found online"
- Amy, school teacher on Superstar Smile, Consumer Digest Weekly
Well, Amy the school teacher from anytown USA seems to use every brand of teeth whitener sold online if you believe the ads you see everywhere. This time, Amy is a big fan of Superstar Smile and their $4 free trial for getting her teeth white. That according to Consumer Digest Weekly.
Amy is a make believe person. Consumer Digest Weekly is only an ad site. And Superstar Smile costs more than $4.
This form of advertising has been around for years and while it looks like a new story, is actually nothing more than an advertisement. The secret is to look and watch out for the hidden terms before buying anything online including Superstar Smile.
Clicking on any of the Superstar Smile links, visitors are taken to a site for SuperStar Smile and informed that Superstar is the #1 choice of dentists. There are plenty of photos of happy smiling people with white teeth and testimonials from satisfied customers. We also see that SuperStar is a teeth whitening "pen" product.
But the small print is what we are interested in. Let's check that out...
First, this is a 10 day trial for SuperStar Smile
The entire process is simple and consists of a 10 day trial (Just pay a discounted shipping amount of $4.95
If buyers do not cancel, they will be charged some big fees..
if you do not cancel during the trial it is followed by three monthly installments of $99.92 ($89.97 for the product and $9.95 shipping and handling on days 11, 41, and 71
And SuperStar Smile keeps coming..
after which time you will be able to receive teeth whitening touch up kits for only the cost of shipping and handling ($9.95) for the rest of your life
Also, if buyers cancel, they get hit with a fee when they return the product and for orders "prepped" for shipping but not yet received by the buyer..
A restocking fee of 35% will be assessed for all returned products and canceled orders that are prepping to be shipped.
Buyers of SuperStar Smile can cancel by phoning...
You can contact customer service with questions or cancel the program any time by calling customer service at 1-877-438-2819, Mon – Fri 10am to 8pm CST.
Remember, there are always hidden costs for some products sold online and buyers are advised to read the fine print, terms and conditions before ordering.
Need White Teeth does not sell the products reviewed here. If you have purchased one of these products and wish to cancel, return or need customer supportfor the product, contact the seller directly.

White Teeth Scam: White-To-Go
Must be the time of year, but these teeth whitening scam products are popping up everywhere. Todays: White-To-Go. What sounds like a fast food restaurant, is actually a new teeth whitening product using the same old pitch as it's predecessors: Use trial samples only to get whiter teeth.
Here are the particulars..
The story is found on fake news site, "Consumer News Journalist" with lots of fake and stock photos of subjects who have nothing to do with White-To-Go.
Sarah, a "mom" who lives in your area, wanted to get whiter teeth and used free samples and trial offers. Sarah recommends White-To-Go for which she paid only a few dollars.. In her own words..
she was able to attain her new sexy smile for less than $8 using nothing but trial offers and paying just a few dollars in shipping charges.
So Sarah claims she got her white smile with only trial offers and cost less than ten dollars. But that's exactly true. The hidden terms and fine print tell a different story.
Clicking one of the many White-To-Go links, visitors are taken to a sign up form for White-To-Go. There are lots of claims, pretty pictures and plenty of white teeth. But way down at the bottom are the little terms for buyer's free trials.
First up, it is not only a trial, but a membership..
When you enroll in our membership program ("Program"), we will charge the card you provide the Five Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($5.95) activation fee (non-refundable) specified on the order checkout page and send you a thirty (30)-day supply of Celebrity White To-go as a gift to you for enrollment.
If buyers don't cancel in 14 days, the price for that sample goes way up..
If you do not cancel within the next fourteen (14) days of the date that you enroll in the Program, we will charge the same card you provided at enrollment the non-refundable annual membership fee of One Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars and Eighty-Six Cents ($127.86) ("Membership Fee").
If you are not satisfied with White-To-Go, there is no guarantee buyers will get a refund..
We refund all cases of fraud and unauthorized transactions including shipping and handling charges. Additional refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the company.
White-To-Go is another product with hidden expensive costs for unsuspecting buyers and is not a product sample, but an obligation for a monthly membership. Buyer beware!

White Teeth Scam: Pro Whitener Plus
Yet another white teeth scam product lingering out there on the Internet. Same marketing plan; fake news site, fake testimonial, free samples with hidden charges. This time its Pro Whitener Plus!
Pro Whitener Plus is using the old "Don't Break The Bank!" slogan and features yet again, perky mom, Amy, who claims she has beaten the US recession single handedly while whitening her teeth. By using free (S&H required) samples of Pro Whitener, Amy has white teeth without the high prices charged by other products or her dentist.
Amy should read the fine print or better yet, the advertisers for Pro Whitener Plus should reveal them to potential buyers instead of hiding them in the teensy fine print.
Let's check those terms....
First, the sample is a trial offer with an alleged high price.
Start your Trial now to receive a full 30 day supply of ProWhite Plus (retail price of $450.00).
If you keep the sample, you get charged a big fat fee..
If you enjoy ProWhite Plus, simply do nothing. You will be billed the super low price of $84.73 at the end of your trial period
So the using the trials and not buying the product is not the way it really works. If you keep the sample, you get charged.
If, for ANY reason, you decide that ProWhite Plus is not for you, simply call 877-287-9760 before the end of your 10 day trial period for an RMA number and return instructions
And Pro Whitener Plus is not a sample, its a membership!
Plus, when you accept this Trial, you will also receive a membership in the ProWhite Plus VIP Program
Which means more Pro Whitener Plus is coming unless you cancel!
That means you will continue to get a fresh supply of ProWhite Plus every 30 days for the low price of $44.73
How can you cancel Pro Whitener Plus?
simply call 877-287-9760

Cathy used trial samples of two teeth whitening products which was her secret to whiter teeth. Further, Cathy claims that these samples were cheaper than visiting the dentist or buying products at the store.
Be careful with stories like these. The websites that promote teeth whitening products like Lucent White are not news sites. Then comes the real cost of Lucent Whites:

White Teeth Scam: Dazzle Smile

Dazzle Smile wants to help consumers now that the recession is in full swing. That means taking advantage of special offers on their teeth whitening product. By using trial offers, a "mom" says buyers can save over having their teeth professionally whitened.
Here's the trick - if you do take Dazzle Smile up on their offer, you may end up spending a lot more than you bargained for. Let's find out why..
Dazzle Smile is using the same ad page used by Dazzle White, Vibrant Whitening and others; a fake news site which claims that buyers who take advantage of Dazzle Smile's trial offer can use the product, get white teeth, and only spend a few dollars.
Check out the terms buyers before putting down your credit card.
The ad states that it Cathy, the trial subject, had to use Dazzle Smile with Clean Whites to get the desired affect. So there are two products which must be bought.
Further, reading the Terms of sale shows that upon ordering the trial versions of the credit card used for shipping and handling will be used for future charges. Check it out..
When you order today.. You will be billed $4.95 for the shipping of your 14-day day trial,
then once you choose to continue whitening with the DazzleSmile Pro System the low member price of only $58.76 per month for every month.
(Shipped as a fresh, 3 month supply every 90 days.)
What they don't say is the buyer has to call to cancel, otherwise, these charges will happen automatically. And since it is a three month supply, the buyer's card will be charged for three months!
You can cancel and this is how..
you can cancel your membership at any time by calling 866-989-2686.
But with a purchase of Dazzle Smile, the buyer will also be charged and signed up for two completely unrelated products!
You have also unlocked your fourteen-day and twenty-eight day trial to the celebrity-proven Insider Secrets Tips package and the Comprehensive Weight Loss eBook package for just $3.24 and $7.14 a month thereafter
Buyers have to cancel those products separately!
To cancel, call toll-free 866-989-2685 for Insider Secrets and 1-800-989-5907 for the eBook package.
If considering the purchase of Dazzle Smile online, be aware of these hidden charges and obligations with purchase. Read the Terms carefully!
Whte Teeth Scam: Total White
Total White promises a White Smile For Life.
I found several ads touting this product as "free, pay only shipping and handling". These ads use the same ploy - lead the buyer into thinking they are getting free or low cost trials which when used with another product, will give them white teeth for less money than if they had gone to a dentist or purchased the full product.
There are many hidden fees for buyers of Total White who purchase online through these ads.
The ads claim that Total White can be obtained for only $1.95. However, if the buyer was to check the Terms and Conditions of the sale, they would be in for a surprise. The Terms which are hidden at the bottom of the page or on the linked sign up page show the real costs of Total White.
The trial period..
You will have fourteen days after your receipt of the product to try Total-White
But after the trial period..
If you enjoy Total-White, simply do nothing and you will be billed $76.82 at the end of the fourteen-day trial period.
But wait, there's more..
Additionally, upon your ordering of the trial, you agree to be placed on the Total-White Preferred Customer Reservation List. This means that you agree to automatically receive a 90 day supply of Total-White every three months and be billed monthly for the price of $76.82 (S/H Included).
To cancel Total White and get a refund..
call 1-888-224-8440 in order to obtain your return authorization number. You must obtain this return authorization number AND return any unused product within thirty days
There are many hidden charges and terms with any purchase online especially teeth whiteners. Be aware of this when deciding to take advantage of any of these specials online.

White Teeth Scam: Clean Whites

I found this one on another fake news site, Consumer Tips Weekly.
The subject to the story was how to deal with the recession. One tip was to use free samples of teeth whitening products rather than go to the dentist. Allegedly, one could save by only using free samples and paying for shipping and handling.
The only problem is, both products reviewed, Dazzle and Clean Whites, are actually membership sales which means that "free sample" signs the buyer up for continuing shipments which are far from free.
The ad has the usual story about the woman with dirty, brown teeth who could not afford professional teeth whitening. As always, she learns about a way to use coupon codes online to get free samples.
The two "free" products have to be used together, or they are not affective. What this does is trap the buyer into two membership programs with high monthly fees. In this case the buyer is advised to click on the Dazzle White and Clean White links, use the provided coupon codes and get their "free samples" and pay only shipping and handling.
I clicked in the Clean Whites link as I am already familiar with the Dazzle White sales pitch. The sign up page asked buyers to sign up for their free 14 day trial. However, if you check out the Terms and Conditions hidden at the very bottom of the page in small print, you can see the real cost of Clean Whites.
15 days from your free trial purchase date and every 30 days thereafter you will be sent another fresh 30 day supply of Vibrant Whitening
the form of payment that you used to order the trial will be billed the Member's Only price of $79.99 plus $8.99 shipping and handling for a total of $88.97 for the monthly value-shipment package.
The trial offer is designed to display the quality and effectiveness of the AxisWellnessPortal.com website
If you enjoy the website do nothing and 15 days from your free trial purchase date and every 30 days thereafter you will be billed $9.99.
To cancel the Clean Whites membership -
To avoid being charged you must cancel before your 15 day trial period is over. You may cancel your Value Autoship Program by calling 1(888) 264-5497
To cancel the AxisWellnessPortal -
You may cancel your membership to AxisWellnessPortal.com by calling 1(888) 822-4806
Clean Whites is very expensive if you use the free trial and fail to cancel within the trail period. Also, including the Axis portal is not what the buyer thought there were getting. This also requires buyers to cancel out of two memberships when they thought they were only receiving some free trial products.
If you can afford it, good for you. If you were thinking about buying it, now you know the whole cost.

White Teeth Scam: Alicia Blog Brite Teeth Pro

Alicia's Blog is all about "staying young and beautiful". However, she only has one entry, about teeth whitening, so I guess she is bored with the young and beautiful thing.
Before she quit blogging, Alicia did tell us about her two favorite products - Brite Teeth Pro and Denta White. We have reviewed Denta White several times, but let's find out about Brite Teeth Pro.
Of course, Alicia confesses in her blog that she drinks lots of staining coffee and wine and use to have a problem with cigarettes, all of which left her teeth brown and dingy. She even includes convincing photos of her teeth.
However, Alicia learned that "at home teeth whitening" does work and with the help of her husband, found coupon codes which allowed her to order Denta White and Brite Teeth Pro at a discount. Now there is a big * next to that statement which should give us all pause to worry.
Alicia insists that we need to use both products for really white teeth otherwise they are not as effective.
Naturally, I clicked on the Brite Teeth Pro link to see what the fuss was about.
The ad for Brite Teeth Pro claims I can have a smile like a celebrity and backs that up with lots of photos of famous people with bright white smiles. (And I can drink coffee "guilt free" if I use this product!).
But does Brite Teeth Pro really only cost a few dollars? I clicked the Terms and Conditions and learned...
When you order the Free Trial of Brite Teeth Pro your credit card will be charged only $4.95 shipping and handling.
OK, but what's next?
As part of the trial period, you will receive a one month supply of Brite Teeth Pro and you will have 10 days, (5 delivery, 5 day usage), from your original purchase date to decide if Brite Teeth Pro is right for you.
10 days, then what?
If you are enjoying Brite Teeth Pro, then do nothing and at the end of your 10 day trial period, (5 delivery, 5 day usage), your credit card will be charged the full price of $89.00 for your first month's supply.
$89.00! Wow!
Approximately 30 days from your original purchase date and every 30 days thereafter you will be sent another one month supply of Brite Teeth Pro and your credit card on file will be billed $89.00 plus $4.95 shipping and handling.
It doesn't stop! How do I get out of ordering Brite Teeth Pro?
To cancel - You may contact our customer service department via our toll free phone number 1-877-546-0535 Customer Service representatives are available Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm EST.
Pure Essentials Inc.
273 Walt Whitman RD
Suite 274,
Huntington Station, NY 11746.
Well, that is good to know. But it is true that Brite Teeth Pro is expensive and is an ongoing cost called "negative option". Be aware of this before you order your teeth whitening kit.
Thursday
White Teeth Scam: Dazzle White and Denta White package

Cathy, another "mom" is advertising the way she found white teeth for only a few dollars. Read the whole article though before believing everything she says.
Cathy is featured in another advertisement for white teeth made to look like a news website, this one called "US Consumer Reports". Cathy is actually advertising for two teeth whitening products, Dazzle White and Denta White.
Cathy claims in the ad that she saved money by ordering and "using nothing but free trial* offers and paying just a few dollars in shipping charges".
Cathy goes on to explain she had dingy brown teeth but was short on cash and that the teeth whitening companies needed customers because of the recession and so they are giving out free trials for shipping and handling costs only.
In fact, Cathy claimed she got both Denta White and Dazzle White for the combined low price of less than $3.00.
However, clicking on the Denta White and Dazzle White links and reading the fine print, we find out the costs are much higher!
Denta White, according to the Terms and Conditions normally charges $4.97 for shipping and handling. Even with the provided coupon however, the next shipment will be automatically charged to the buyer at - $92.37 - unless the buyer cancels within 10 days of signing up for the product online.
The seller of Denta White for this ad is
T89 Wie Vita Systems LLC and their address is 654 North 800 East # 505, Spanish Fork, UT 84660.
Dazzle White, according to the Terms and Conditions does not have a standard shipping rate, but does automatically charge - $58.76 - to the buyers card and holds that amount for the 14 day trial.
Further, Dazzle White will then charge an additional fee of $3.24 for the Insider Secrets Expert Tips Package and Comprehensive Weight Loss eBook Package.
And then will charge - $7.14 - each month for the Insider Secrets Expert Tips Package unless canceled.
Finally, Dazzle White will continue to charge every third month the amount of - $58.76 - per month for continuing shipments of the teeth whitener unless canceled.
The actual costs for Dazzle White and Denta White are far higher than the prices claimed in the sales ad copy. If the pricing above is higher than you would like to pay, please be aware of the actual costs before ordering.

Need White Teeth Scam: Cathy, Dazzle White and Dentech

"Cathy" is another mom who figured out the way to a white smile for just a few dollars. Cathy suffered from dingy, brown teeth and could not afford to have expensive dentist visit treatments.
The website, W56 Alert, Weekly Consumer News, makes no secret it is not a news site, but an advertisement. It is hear we learn about Cathy and her quest for white teeth.
Someone recommended she try Dazzle White and Dentech. Again, the suggestion was that she try both as together they are more efffective. Cathy wanted to save money, so she tried both products, but took advantage of a trial offer for each product. That meant she was able to get samples of both for only $1.99 each for shipping and handling.
There is the catch.
There is an asterisk next to the shipping and handling price and at the bottom of the sales page, in tiny letters and same color as the background we find some nearly hidden terms for the sale.
Also, click on the links for Dazzle White and Dentech. Read the Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the page. There you can find the total price for Dazzle White.
a pre-authorized pending payment of Fifty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Six Cents ($58.76) does apply for the trial offer for your initial fourteen (14) day trial membership ("Trial Membership").
your Active Credit Card will be charged the monthly Insider Access Package fee of Three Dollars and Twenty-Four Cents ($3.24)
then your Active Credit Card will be charged the monthly Insider Access Package fee of Seven Dollars and Fourteen Cents ($7.14)
That is a lot more than the $1.99 trial fee Cathy mentioned in her ad!
What about Dentech?
If you enjoy the product do nothing and 15 days from your free trial purchase date and every 30 days thereafter you will be sent another fresh 30 day supply of Dentech Whitening and the form of payment that you used to order the trial will be billed the Member's Only price of $79.99 plus $8.99 shipping and handling for a total of $88.97 for the monthly value-shipment package.
That's nearly 90.00 a month!
And look at this!
15 DAY TRIAL PERIOD INCLUDES SHIPPING AND TRANSIT TIME
So your order, shipping and transit counts against your trial period. Better hope you don't live in the middle of nowhere and check that mailbox often!
If you have this kind of money for white teeth, then go ahead and order. But if you were thinking that getting white teeth with Dazzle White and Dentech were indeed less than $10.00, think again.
Tuesday
Need White Teeth Scam: Karens Teeth

Seems everywhere you look these days there are one or two ads on each website promoting white teeth. Ads like "Mom discovers clever trick to whiten teeth for less than $10!". Sound promising, right?
I checked out one for "Karen's Teeth". The link took me to a website which looked like a news site but is really just a sales page. It was called "Consumer News Weekly" but the entire site was about Karen and her teeth!
Karen outlined a problem found on all of these sites. She loved coffee and red wine and previously had been a smoker. Net result was dingy and stained teeth. The other problem was that Karen had limited funds. She could not get expensive treatments at her dentist.
A friend suggested she try two teeth whitening products which she reviews on Karen's Teeth - Dazzle White and Easy White. After trying a "trial period" product, she found neither really did the job. But at her son's advice, she tried them together and had great success.
What's more is Karen revealed that using the trial samples only cost a few dollars.
I checked out the two product links on Karens Teeth, Dazzle White and Easy White.
Dazzle White had a very nice website with plenty of pictures of pretty people and smiles. However, what interested me were the Terms of Service at the bottom of the page.
Hidden in small type was the link, which reveals the real cost of Dazzle White. There I found out the following..
a pre-authorized pending payment of Fifty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Six Cents ($58.76) does apply for the trial offer for your initial fourteen (14) day trial membership
and
your Active Credit Card will be charged the monthly Insider Access Package fee of Three Dollars and Twenty-Four Cents ($3.24) ("IAP Monthly Fee").
and
your eBook Access Pass during your twenty-eight (28) day trial period, then your Active Credit Card will be charged the monthly Insider Access Package fee of Seven Dollars and Fourteen Cents ($7.14)
Whoa. I thought Dazzle White was only a few dollars for trial period.
How about Easy White?
The Easy White website was not as pretty, but instead, very medical looking. The Terms were easy to find, but the prices were located in another page called "How it works".
The price for Easy White was straightforward and just as expensive. $6.99 for shipping and handling. $78.23 a month automatically billed after the trial period. And the monthly charges will be for three months at a time.
Let's add up the total cost for Karen's Teeth.
Dazzle White
$58.76
$3.24
$7.14
Easy White
$6.99
$78.23
Total for one month
$154.36
Wow. that is alot more than the "couple of dollars" the ad claimed.
if you can afford $154.36 for Dazzle White and Easy White, good for you. But I wonder if a dentist might be cheaper?
Finally, Need White Teeth does not sell either product reviewed here. If you have ordered any of these products or any other online, go to the website you ordered the product from to cancel. If you have questions, need support or would like to cancel service, go to the website you ordered the product from and check the Terms of Service for contact information. Again, Need White Teeth does not sell this product, provide support or take cancellations.
